  1. Why use a bank and different types of banks

  2. Differences between debit, credit, savings, and checking

  3. Credit scores, interest rates, and debt

  4. Budgeting to buy a house or a car

  5. Investing and planning for college or retirement

  6. Scams and keeping your money safe

Interested in helping with the seminar?

We are looking for teaching team members to support interpreting and translation of materials. These are paid positions. We are looking for help with the following languages:

  • Dari

  • Haitian Creole

  • Swahili

One person can fill both of these roles:

Interpreter role for this seminar:

  • $26.00 per hour ($338.00 total)

  • 1 prep meeting (January)

  • 5 sessions (February and March)

  • 1 review meeting (March)

  • 1 feedback form

  • Provide support with contacting participants

Translator role for this seminar:

  • $26.00 per hour ($182.00 total)

  • 1 prep meeting (January)

  • 5 sessions (1 hour of work each week - not during the sessions)

    • translate material ahead

    • translate participant feedback

    • use google documents

  • 1 review meeting (March)

  • 1 feedback form
